Latest Information for the World of Work

The Centre for Training and Development channels the results of the university’s wide-ranging research and development work into practically oriented training services. Training responding to current trends can be directly applied in the world of work.

Pre-admission interviews are conducted to ensure that the needs of students completing more extensive studies are met.

Firm Academic Foundation

Training is usually planned together with the customer and university professors, researchers and instructors. Thus we ensure a firm scientific foundation for the studies and multidisciplinary expertise in the instruction. The university’s own researchers and instructors also play an essential part.

Students may also apply to have any of the centre’s courses that are measured in ECTS credits included in an academic degree from Lappeenranta University of Technology.

Close to the Customer

The Centre for Training and Development brings studies to locations near its customers. Courses are organised in different parts of Finland and are planned to accommodate students with full-time work. Contact lessons are organised mainly in the evenings and on weekends, and flexible course schedules are planned with the mature student in mind. Especially rapidly developing web-based studies offer new possibilities for studies without restrictions on time or place.

Every training programme has a contact person who helps students in practical matters. They are always available and work together with instructors to guide and motivate each student individually.
